State Senators Don DeWitte (R-St. Charles) and Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry) are partnering with almost 50 agencies, businesses, and non-profits that cater to the needs of area seniors for a Senior Expo that will be held on Tuesday, October 14 in Crystal Lake. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

“We are bringing together close to 50 agencies and organizations that specialize in the needs of seniors, and attendees will be able to collect useful information and learn about available resources while visiting the booths,” said Wilcox. “We will also be offering a variety of free services, so I would encourage all seniors and their families or caregivers to stop by this event.”
The following services will be available free of charge at the expo:
- Blood Pressure Checks
- Vaccinations provided by Walgreens
- IPASS (switch out plastic IPASS transponders for the new sticker technology)
- ICASH (search the IL Treasurer’s database for unclaimed cash/property)
- Senior Living Information
- Transportation Services
- Veteran Services
- Energy Info
“This senior expo provides an easy way to connect the senior community with essential services and information,” added DeWitte. “Best of all, it’s all under one roof. We are hoping for another huge turnout at this year’s expo.”
