DHS seeking applicants to provide training, assistance, support for violence prevention programs

With the passage and signing into law of the Reimagine Public Safety Act, which seeks to address gun violence in Illinois, the state’s Department of Human Services Office of Firearm Violence Prevention (OFVP) and Office of Community and Positive Youth Development (OCPYD) are now seeking applicants to provide training, technical assistance, and support to organizations that will provide violence prevention or youth development services in eligible Chicago community areas.

The RPSA Violence Prevention Training, Technical Assistance, and Support Notice of Funding Opportunity (444-80-2771) and the RPSA Youth Development Training, Technical Assistance, and Support Notice of Funding Opportunity (444-80-2772) are open and can be found on the IDHS Grant Information page:  https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=132486.

Applications for these opportunities are due by noon on January 19, 2022.
